This is a new take on an old favorite but unlike many other simple resource packs, this one manages to be memorable. In fact, Default 3D comes with specific instructions for how to install some or all of the new textures, as well as a few different textures for select blocks and items which you can use in place of the standard ones. You aren’t forced to change all the textures if you don’t want to though. You’ll find everything in Minecraft from the dirt to the clouds in the sky gets a facelift here. It’s an interesting way to make old textures look fresh and new again, and it’s not just limited to crafting tables either. However, the Default 3D resource pack makes those items on the side of the table pop by elevating them, so they look like they’re actual items hanging there and not just shapes painted onto a block of wood. While you can see a saw, some clippers and other items on the sides of the table, they are as flat as everything else you’ll find in Minecraft. This sounds complicated but it really isn’t. The Default 3D resource pack adds another dimension to Minecraft by raising the items found on the faces of many common blocks. However, some people like the vanilla look so much they even make packs specifically to enhance it without changing the appearance of things. Would you believe some Minecraft players love the way the game looks, just like it is right now? It’s true there’s something charming about the blocky and basic look of the game, but many players quickly get bored of that and go dressing up the textures with various resource packs.
